The FUTURE depends on
what you do in the PRESENT.

Welcome!

Phoenix Therapy & Wellness is a small group mental health practice in Western New York offering in person appointments and telehealth services throughout New York State.

Our Commitment to Inclusive,
Healing-Centered Care

At Phoenix Therapy & Wellness, we believe that healing begins in an environment where every person feels safe, respected, and genuinely welcomed. Our team of practitioners is committed to providing trauma-informed, healing-centered care that recognizes the unique experiences, strengths, and identities of every individual we serve.

We understand that trauma can shape how people experience relationships, healthcare, and the world around them. That’s why we approach every interaction with compassion, curiosity, and respect rather than judgment. Whether you are contacting our office for the first time, meeting with a therapist, or participating in one of our programs, we strive to create an atmosphere where you feel heard, valued, and empowered.

We celebrate and affirm people of all identities, cultures, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, religions, body types, ages, family structures, and abilities. We recognize that every person’s story is unique, and we are committed to honoring those differences while providing individualized, evidence-based care.

Our work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, safety, and collaboration. We are dedicated to continually learning, growing, and reflecting on our own practices so that we can better serve our diverse community with humility, cultural responsiveness, and integrity.

No matter where you are in your healing journey, you are welcome here. We are honored to walk alongside you as you build resilience, deepen self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and move toward the life you envision.

What is a trauma-
informed approach?

A trauma-informed treatment approach strives to understand individuals as a whole. It assumes that people are more likely to have a history of trauma than not. When trauma occurs, it affects a person’s sense of self, their sense of others, and their beliefs about the world.

Trauma-informed care shifts the focus from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?” It offers the opportunity for our clients to engage more fully in their healing processes, develop a trusting relationship with their providers, and improve long-term health outcomes.

Our team adopts this approach by obtaining a complete picture of our clients’ life situations – past and present – in order to provide effective care with a healing orientation.
